I'm stealing this idea from Steakbellie (who stole it from Iris, who stole it from elsewhere). It is simply the first sentence of each of my posts from the first day of each month for this past year. I haven't preread my posts to see what the first lines hold and to see if this will even be interesting or not. I'm going into this blind. I'm hoping to learn something about myself by doing it. Here goes:
January: Hi.
February: Who's the fairest bison of them all?
March: The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition arrived at the Beecher-Fromm household last week.
April: Not too many years ago, I swore I would never remarry.
May: I know I write a lot of things about my mom.
June: Well, there you have it, Whos-his-toes is Deep Throat.
July: As I've said before, I don't believe in taking in too much news.
August: I haven't died.
September:
October: Google Search 659,000,000 matches for “success” 213,000,000 matches for “failure” What do you think that means?
November: I have to believe I'm not the only person out there confused by the artichoke.
December: So get this!
Huh. Well sure enough, I've learned some things about myself.
1) I apparently was really busy in September.
2) Catchy first lines are not my forte. and,
3) I think my boobs have gotten bigger (I didn't actually learn that from reading the first lines but from typing them ... I leaned over my computer to check the mouse cable and inadvertently added a long line of spaces to my post.)
This proved to be not as interesting as I hoped. Maybe if I go with titles of my posts? Or maybe if they all ran together like one long post. Maybe that would be more interesting? Let's see:
Hi. Who's the fairest bison of them all? The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition! Arrived at the Beecher-Fromm household last week, not too many years ago. I swore. I would never remarry - I know. I write a lot of things about my mom. And, well, there you have it. Whos-his-toes is Deep Throat? As I've said before, I don't believe in taking in too much news and I haven't died. Google Search 659,000,000 matches for “success” 213,000,000 matches for “failure” What? Do you think that means I have to believe I'm not the only person out there confused by the artichoke? So? Get this!
Mildly amusing at best.
BWAHAHA well if that's not pithy I don't know what is... I'm thoroughly amused.

I love that word - Pithy.
it ranks right up there with cacophony.

I know this is an old entry of yours..I am reading from oldest to newest. Have you ever tagxedo/wordled your blog entries? It is a Web 2.0 App that takes all your words and spits them back you in a different way. It is amazing to see what words are emphasized & also gives you a great sense of your blog's message....BTW I had the chance to see you & meet you on stage during the game show part of your Camp Show this year’s Atlanta 3-Day. You did a great job with whole 3-Day experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts & experiences in blog form. Ever consider turning them into a book or something like that?
