January 6
In 1412 Joan of Ark was born. I wonder if Mr. and Mrs. Of Ark knew what a little rebel rouser they had on their hands.
In 1540 England's King Henry VIII married, Anne of Cleves … his fourth wife. Whom he divorced a mere 6 months later. Really Anne? You couldn't see that coming?
In 1838 Sam Morse demonstrated his telegraph machine. Which you gotta wonder if the guy on the other end of the line was like "what the h? This is just a bunch of dots and dashes. I'm going to lunch."
In 1994 Nancy Kerrigan got walloped on the knee …. Whyyyy whyyyyy whyyyyyyyyyy!?!
All of these things happened in history. But perhaps the most important the most significant January 6 event happened a handful (okay, maybe two or three handfuls) of years ago when Lynda Britt Golliher was born.
What? You've never heard of Lynda Britt Golliher? Well get with the program, people. Let me tell you what I know about Lynda Britt Golliher. Lynda Britt Golliher is dedicated and passionate – I know this because she participated in the Atlanta Breast Cancer 3 Day in 2007. Lynda Britt Golliher is loyal – I know this because she reads this blog oh, like, all the time. Lynda Britt Golliher has a grand sense of humor and impeccable taste – see explanation under "Lynda Britt Golliher is loyal" and Lynda Britt Golliher has a sister who loves her enough to send me a pleading email to wish her a happy birthday.
(and boy are you both lucky I'm in a post-a-day pact with myself!)
So Happy Birthday Lynda Britt Golliher! Make it a good one.

That is awesome. Can you make a post a day pact in July? I could use a birthday shout out.
